G-Force are the current North Harbour Div 1 Men’s champions, a title they have held for 3 consecutive seasons. They have had another great start to the season with 5 wins, scoring 40 runs for and only 8 runs against, having play 3 of their 5 games this season on the world-class Rosedale Park skin diamonds.
In September this year Myles Tibbits father (G-Force catcher), Ray Tibbits, passed away. He was involved with North Harbour and NZ Softball for many years and was instrumental in the redevelopment of Rosedale Park skin diamonds and stadium for the 2013 Men’s Softball World Cup. To honour Ray’s contribution to North Harbour and NZ Softball, a ceremony was held before G-Forces game against Bandits on 9 November 2019, naming the scoreboard on Freeman Field (Diamond 1) in his honour.
The game against Bandit was one of the toughest games G-Force has had this season, with a G-Force playing with lot of emotion. The boys were proud to play hard and takeout the game 4-1, on such a special day for the Tibbits whanau.
This week G-Force take on Navy on Diamond 3, Rosedale Park at 4pm
